Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to apply for the role of 3DS MAX & VRAY Visualiser that I have seen advertised on the creativepool website. I am a visualiser with 3-4 years experience in producing accurate high quality images in 3D from 2D drawings using AutoCAD, 3dMax, Vray, Mental Ray and Photoshop.

In July 2011 I was awarded an MA in Interior Design from the University of Brighton. Prior to studying for my MA, I worked in the design industry as a Visualiser. I worked within a design studio with other visualisers and have experience in preparing scenes for rendering as well as great modelling skills as bespoke furniture and architectural details were often required for the visuals.

I worked on all stages of the design process, starting with brain-storming and concept design (involving sketch and research), through to liaising with clients, consultants and other team members to produce presentation packages. I am an excellent team worker, actively expressing fresh ideas, but making sure I listen and take on board other people's thoughts. I communicated with the team and the client from the outset of the project to gain a thorough understanding of what they wanted and how to produce the best result whilst working under pressure to meet short deadlines.

I also worked as a Visualiser and Interior Designer in March and April of this year, after completing my MA. The company needed a Visualiser for three projects. I created visuals for a restaurant in Westfield; visuals for a restaurant/bar in South Kensington; and visuals for a nightclub near Oxford Street. I was heavily involved in the Westfield project and helped to present the visuals to the client at the Institute of Directors in London.

At undergraduate and postgraduate level I had to do weekly presentations to other students, lecturers and industry professionals. I became confident at presenting my ideas and research in a coherent manner. I used different types of media to present, and would, at times, present as a team with other students.

At university, especially during my MA studies, I had to balance and prioritise a heavy workload. Whilst studying for my MA I worked part-time in term time and full time during the holidays. I was travelling long distances from Buckinghamshire to Brighton. On top of that I was Student Co-Ordinator and I participated in a mentoring scheme. In order to complete all these tasks to my utmost ability I had to be extremely organised.

Working in the design industry has enhanced my creativity and knowledge of architectural concepts. My experience covers interior design, CAD, visualising, branding, logo design and concept design. Throughout my design career I have worked on high-end projects and therefore have a great eye for detail which is evident in the quality of my work. However, I am always open to learning new skills in design and improve the quality of my work further.

The attributes described above make me a great candidate for this role. I am ambitious, versatile and willing to learn. I am self-motivated and enjoy working with others to produce an outcome that the team is proud of. I am a dedicated, hard worker who is energetic and passionate about architecture and design, delivering an outstanding result.
