ABOUT
I was thrilled to be commissioned by Hipkiss Publishing in Australia to create illustrations for the upcoming reprint of Arthur Conan Doyle's "A Study in Scarlet." Immersing myself in the 1880s atmosphere, I meticulously portrayed the era's fashion and décor, aiming to transport readers back in time. My goal was to offer a fresh perspective on the iconic characters of Sherlock Holmes and Dr. Watson, diverging from the conventional portrayals. All illustrations are hand-drawn in grayscale, reminiscent of classic pencil sketches, with a strategic touch of red as a symbolic link to the book's title. I'm excited to contribute to this reprint and bring new life to this beloved work.
