S.P.Q.RACE, the Brand Name
I propose, recalls the eternal
magnificence of the Roman
city and, at the same time, it
defines the name of an unique
challenge which embraces the
Roman history and traditions.
The Brand Name results from
a combination of the Roman
acronym S.P.Q.R. and the word
“race”.
S.P.Q.R., acronym of Latin
Senatus PopulusQue Romanus,
in english “The Senate and the
Roman People”, represents
the strengths of the Roman
Republic: the Senate and the
People, the two classes that
were the foundation of the
Roman State. This acronym, is
used in all official institutions
to show the authority of
the Roman State. Today it
continues to represent the
identity of the city.
