Dear Sir/Madam

I writing to you to apply for the job which I saw advertised on the Internet. I strongly believe that I am an ideal candidate for the position and could contribute greatly to your organisation.

First of all, I am very ambitious and have a keen desire to work within a development department, such as the one advertised, where I can apply my creativity and passion for the design that I have accumulated both in an academic environment and in practice.

In 2007, I graduated from Aberdeen College, where I completed HND in Multimedia Production and Design. The following year, I graduated from the Robert Gordon University in Aberdeen, after being awarded a Bachelor of Science in Multimedia Development.

I believe that my current position as a Graphic, Flash Designer/Animator and Digital Signage Content Designer and Producer,working for an interactive agency, provides me with the desired credentials that your organization is seeking as I currently design for both print and for the internet.

Furthermore, I have worked on various projects for international and local blue chip clients such as BMW, Mini Morris, Dr. Oetker, Clear Channel, Huggies, DryNites, Knauf, Polish Credit Unions, Energa, Heyah and Multimedia where I designed websites, landing pages, microsites, banners, leaflets, flyers and newsletters.

I am proficient in current versions of Adobe Flash, Photoshop, Indesign, Illustrator, Dreamweaver, After Effects, Premiere and Fireworks. Additionally, I am competent in the use of various video/audio editing software. All of which are skills that I feel could contribute to the success of your organisation.

I am an enthusiastic, hard working person with very strong 'can-do' approach with a high emphasis on attention to details and the desire to succeed while assisting in the development of others where necessary.

The passion I have for design and the constant desire for personal development is something that I pride myself on and is a personal trait of mine which I feel could benefit your organisation.
