The brief for this project was to design branding for a futuristic technology for today's society. From the selection of technologies I chose teleportation and decided to create a service that would teleport fans to worldwide sporting events.
The branding needed to represent a wide customer base as well as the variety of sports it would allow them to attend. Nova needed to be a reflection of the spirit and sense of community that comes with live sporting events as well as an appreciation of the athletes involved. The brand name Nova, meaning a star that shines brighter suddenly reflected these athletes shining in their events.
In recent years there has been a depletion in attendance to sporting events due to cost, travel and access issues. Nova aimed to eliminate these obstacles and encourage consumers to discover new sports.
How it works - Customers can apply for a pass patch online, this is sent to your home in a box that easily fits through your letterbox. Within the box is a 'Game Play' booklet that talks through the application process. This is much like the process of a temporary tattoo, but is a unique code that is attached to your wrist and can be linked to an app in your phone and holds all important personal information for emergencies. This patch becomes your ticket through the portals and takes you to the correct destination.
