ABOUT
- Apply base TV pack sales content to all the different user journeys Sky has; Buying TV only; adding TV to broadband; updating the base pack you already have, - all with accompanying context-appropriate imagery, pricing, legal and supporting information, including 'pop up' information to reveal the channels users can get with the pack.
*Challenges included:*
- Each journey had a different Product Owner, BA, Scrum Team, and the content had to be consistent but make sense in each different context to that user - and some of that content was shared and some not for that purpose.
With the hero using TV content, it didn't make sense to use TV content in the base pack sales pod below it, so a box shot was used. But for other areas, offering the base pack (existing customer sales, portfolio), a TV image would need to be used. I would often try to use the same image as the hero if it could work in the smaller spaces.
- There was a work stream for customers on legacy base packs to migrate to the new base pack, with signposting to make sure customers understood what they were doing with headlines, sub headers and legal. I made these the same so as not to confuse customers as they needed to know they weren't losing any content - they were gaining better value for money.
- Different POs would request content in an area that I knew would clash with the needs of another area. If the functionality didn't exist yet, I would need to find and offer a content solution and liaise with developers to find out what could be done for longer term solutions.
- That meant my content, collaboration, coordination and problem-solving skills were needed to make all views work for iterative stages and ensure stakeholders were happy with the end result and iteratively.
