ABOUT

Hyrax Solar is a power company specialising in the manufacture of thermodynamic water heating systems designed specifically for the UK environment. We were tasked with creating the Hyrax brand, brochure website and exhibition stand for the Eco-Biuld Convention in London. The client was keen to steer clear of cliche eco-based design and establish the brand as a truly efficient home heating alternative that happens to be environmentally friendly.

Focusing on the idea of heat, we created a colour pallet which was dominated by a bright, warm red. The solar aspect of the process is invoked in the logo type and icon; closely spaced letter forms make up a panel under the sun. The next stage was to break down the thermodynamic heating science and product offering into an engaging and simple piece of communication. We achieved this by creating two parallax scrolling webpages that presented info-graphics explaining how the sytem worked and the benefit to the consumer.
