In April, I was asked to create two posters illustrating the town of Rawicz (Poland) and its history.

I had the opportunity to visit Rawicz a few times before, but I never expected that one day I would be asked to illustrate it. I conducted research to understand what was worth showcasing and what stories the town held. Beyond the famous prison, Rawicz boasts a beautiful market square, well-preserved tenement houses, green boulevards, and plenty of greenery surrounding the main square.

Rawicz is characterised by charming streets, friendly glances, and greetings exchanged with smiles. It has the aroma of herbs from the nearby pharmacy, fresh bread from the bakery, the cuddling Rawicz bears statue, and the hum from local cafes.

Rawicz also has a rich heritage, with a history dating back to the 17th century. The town's cultural heritage is reflected in its numerous festivals and local traditions.

Rawicz is more than just a point on the map among thousands of similar ones. It is a heartfelt feeling of being home.
