Dear Sir/Madam

I am a graphic designer with over 15 years experience in design for print, looking for a full time job.

I have worked for large design agencies as well as for a small family run business but I am currently self employed, working from home. I was made redundant while on maternity leave in 2008 when the company I worked for went in to administration. Since then I concentrated on my own design business and although I am happy working on my own and having the freedom of time and the comfort of my own home environment I am also missing the company of other people.

I love my work, my favourite software is Photoshop but I am fluent in InDesign, QuarkXpress, Illustrator/Freehand. I have a strong attention to detail and my typographic skills are outstanding. I have experience in managing a small team of people from my previous full time job (PNSL) where I managed 3 other designers, organising their day to day duties as well as guiding and teaching them skills that they needed to improve in order to deliver a good product/design. My clients at the moment vary from larger organisations to small family run business. (for example: Andorra Group, Viscount Environmental, Supercrease, Twisted Performance, Diagmed....)

I would be delighted to work for an organisation like yours for the diversity in the design projects, the companys' stability and it's opportunities. I am a well organised person, I always deliver on time and understand the importance of deadlines. I am used to dealing with clients face to face, taking the minimum of a brief and delivering a finished printed product. I work well under pressure and don't hesitate to take things a step further to meet my clients needs and expectations. As I am self employed at the moment I have a close relationship with local printers and always look for a good price and outstanding finish for my designs. I am fluent in working on either a PC or MAC. Currently working on a PC at home using the latest Adobe Creative Suite CS5 but I worked on a MAC for most of my design career. I would like to be part of a design team again, and use my design abilities and ideas within a company that will recognise my potential.
