In 2019 I was approached by the originator of the show to produce trial imagery of a few characters during the filming of a Pilot show. The interest from the images (of Trump and Putin) was huge and the show went into production in 2020 for Britbox. My brief was to build on the template I had previously conceived, but make the lighting work for an easy composite for posters.
This may look easy, but I got ten mins with each character in two set ups. Each puppet has 2-3 puppeteers working them requiring correct puppet eyelines and minimum human puppeteer body appearance.
All of the shoots were completed under Covid restrictions on set during filming, which in itself caused stresses as I was not allowed close to the filming 'bubble'.

I knew there would be a lot of interest when transmission came, but it's still amazing to see the photos being used in every conceivable way: From drivable digital displays to the whole entrance to Westminster Underground station along with every billboard near to Downing Street.. EVEN THE PRIME MINISTER COMMENTED ON IT!
