ABOUT

Auschwitz-Birkenau. These photographs were taken 71 years and 16 days after the last prisoners were liberated on January 27, 1945, a day now commemorated as International Holocaust Remembrance Day.
I have wanted to visit Auschwitz for several years and managed to gain permission to take photographs which, importantly, meant I was able to carry my tripod for interior shots.
I may add to this introduction, but for now these photographs are a personal reminder of the dark days of Nazi terror.
