Mark's work
About Mark
I am an extremely experienced award-winning Series Producer who has worked on some of the biggest entertainment productions both live and pre-recorded for TV and online. I have a wealth of experience in developing and producing innovative and compelling content from 'Isle of Wight Festival' for Sky to 'MOBO Awards' for YouTube & BBC, and numerous other shows for many different production partners. Though I have a great deal of music experience I also have a string of entertainment TV series credits to my name as well as a number of documentaries and branded content. As such I have a variety of experience working with a variety of different production companies and freelancers. I am used to scriptwriting, gallery producing, fast turnarounds and working both with large teams and on stripped back productions, often under a great deal of pressure to hard deadlines, but always delivering to the highest editorial standards. With an understanding of all stages of production I am adept and confident at working from concept through pitch to delivery, with a track record that demonstrates my proficiency in handling complex projects involving multiple stakeholders and substantial budgets.
My career has included project leadership across many aspects of production, and I have a great deal of experience with content, digital and streaming having produced content in many different countries for many different partners and formats from Blackpool Switch On to the Ad Diriyah Launch Ceremony across the Middle East. I am used to leading both large and small creative teams, often across different time zones, to ensure they reach their full potential while maintaining cost-effective and compliant production processes.
Working with third-party vendors, sponsors, diverse teams, and department heads has been a key part of my role, ensuring that the creative vision is realised without overpromising. My extensive work in major music, fashion, and creative productions, such as the MOBO Awards, Snowbombing, and the Isle of Wight Festival, has allowed me to collaborate closely with some of the world's biggest celebrity names whilst ensuring the satisfaction of all stakeholders, from management to labels to brands. The long hours, dedication, and hard work I always put in are only possible, I believe, with a genuine love of my job. Furthermore, I am driven by a desire to make a meaningful impact, whether it's inspiring young people to find their dream careers with Apprentice Nation, raising awareness with Comic Relief, or contributing to the eco-conscious approach of the Green Space Dark Skies project (totally carbon neutral events.)
In addition to strong project management and leadership skills, I have a proven track record of developing and producing innovative and captivating content for different clients and take pride in taking new approaches be it technology, tone or talent. I excel in managing multiple events concurrently without compromising quality. My experience in fast-paced, live television environments has honed my problem-solving and communication abilities. I am known for meticulous organisation, ensuring preparedness for all scenarios while remaining adaptable to enhance the production as and when needed. Excellent planning and time keeping are crucial to my role so that deadlines are met, and all relevant parties are kept up to date on structure and creative vision. Despite the huge pressures of my work, I pride myself on remaining calm, maintaining perspective and professionalism whilst keeping the whole experience enjoyable.
