This idea was born from a combination of 2 things; Firstly from visiting our local Farmhouse Inns pub we were amazed by the incredible cakes baked in-house and on display from the Farmhouse Inns Cake-A-Tiers. They truly are a sight to behold. Secondly, the TV program The Great British Bake-Off was proving a huge ratings winner and a trend was underway for people to create elaborate cakes at home for all occasions. So we decided to bring these 2 factors together and created ‘The Fabulous Farmhouse Cake Off’ where customers could send us their baking creations for the chance to win a £20 Farmhouse inns voucher. It is now proving one of the most engaging content pieces online, and we are constantly amazed by the entries our guests submit. We also ask our customers to vote for their favourite cake each month, so it totally self-fulfilling and we have an incredible archive of unique content.
