Dear Sir/Madam,

Please find attached my curriculum vitae for the position of Account Executive/Project Manager within your organisation.

I am extremely interested in this position, which relates strongly to my degree from Loughborough University and precisely fits my career plans.

I graduated from Loughborough University with a degree in Industrial Design and Technology. The core modules I studied included product design, graphic design, innovation and entrepreneurship, marketing and sustainable design, along with a number of technical units; all of which have given me valuable knowledge in the development and communication of ideas and design process.

With previous experience in kitchen design I have developed a high level of spatial awareness; optimizing the use of space to meet the design requirements and users needs. I have also worked as a freelance interior designer, assisting a clients and advising them on the layout and styling of their properties. Having recently been interviewed over a six month period for a Tesco graduate scheme in property design; I successfully passed several exams and interviews and went from 3800 applicants down to the final four narrowly missing out to 2 candidates with more experience. This experience has increased my desire to pursue a career as an interior designer and I would be grateful for an opportunity to work for your company.

Currently working as a National Account Manager for Deco Glaze, my job has involved extensive travel throughout the U.K; attending meetings with company directors with the overall objective of increasing sales. Working alongside companies like John Lewis and Poggenpohl, I have a sound understanding and knowledge of the luxury brands markets.

To further develop the business I was chosen by management to improve and simplify internal processes. As a personable communicator with a dynamic personality I have been directly responsible for managing and training a newly employed team to assist with changing business operations.

Using my industrial design background and a detailed knowledge of the production process, I have played an active role in a team that has created a new product GLASSeco. This has successfully helped the company reduce its carbon footprint by reusing waste glass as the main component in this innovative product. I have also been working alongside a PR company using my drive and positivity to help launch and increase brand awareness of this new product.

My work with Deco Glaze has been rewarding and productive. However, I wish to expand my career in interior design, which is where my passion really lies. Having a high knowledge of sales and design I have developed many skills and I would relish the opportunity to bring this level of success to your company.
