At the centre of WhatsApp’s New Years Eve campaign was a three-minute film that stopped time. It tells the story of an entire love affair that takes place during the ten-second countdown to the New Year. Full of punch and attention to detail, the director drew extraordinary performances from the actors, artfully combining Oscar-winning camerawork with an emotional soundtrack. Ultimately, this sensitive work turned a simple countdown into a rich narrative about love, loss, and reunion.
