About me

I have experience working in live sound, radio advertising, tracking bands in a studio setting, mixing, music production, ADR sound design and foley for film. Studying at Cape Audio College gave me many opportunities to learn from industry professionals in various audio engineering environments with high standards and high end equipment. With 10 years of playing drums in bands and around 5 years of playing in more professional settings, I have a lot of experience working with musicians and sound engineers in the entertainment industry. Working in the family business during my school years I am no stranger to hard work, learning new things, working in a team and over coming new challenges.

From a young age I have dreamt of coming to Portugal to learn the language and more about my Portuguese roots. I had some opportunities to work on cruise ships in America and play in 5 star Hotels in Bahrein but due to travel restrictions and covid, I unfortunately was unable to take up any of those opportunities. Instead I spent my time after college working in the family business to help during these difficult times. Eventually things settled down and I made the move to Portugal.
I am not afraid to take risks or try new things to make sure I learn what I need to, to become successful in this industry. Coming from South Africa I am very comfortable with people from vastly different backgrounds that speak different languages, which has taught me how to quickly learn and adapt to new people, environments and situations. This diverse upbringing has also allowed me to sharpen my communication skills. I am here to learn and create, to share my passion and to work hard to make my dream job a reality.
