Marina Lopez Grande Fashion Stylist

ABOUT

I started from Louis XIVth, the absolutist king of France who created French fashion. Menswear was on its peak with characateristics that would make us think of womenswear today. Hence, I want my collection to be for both men and women, equal in looks, shapes and colours. From this period’s garments I focus on the importance of the sleeves and collars, the passementerie and the silhouette: voluminous in the hips, emphasizing the waist and showing the legs. Today’s fashion trends match the idea of fashion as fun, interesting and expressive for both men and women. From it I wanted to take the mixing (colours, materials), the silhouettes rectangular volumes a little oversized; and mostly the fabrics to give a lighter and more contemporary approach.
