ABOUT
My project investigates the transformational consequences of the disappearance of human physical interaction in mixed reality through artificially simulating intimacy.
‘Public Skin’ encourages people to first enter a door into the somehow public toilet and somehow medical surgery room. They will enter only a narrow space as a very large almost alive alien but human-like blob takes up most of the space. Closing the door behind them an intimate space occurs. In this space with very little room between themselves and the huge breathing and skin-like blob, the little privacy allows people to exploit the moment as they wish.
