The house embraces very simple ideas of combined elements achieved through the contraposition of linear and curved lines, harsh against smooth surfaces to enhance the urban setting by adding drama to the space referencing a dynamic architectural style through the appropriate use of lights, light and shade.
Surfaces reflect the duality between the outdoors and the indoor. Much reference to cycling and its components through carbon fibre will add a masculine touch to otherwise a feminine nature present in a number of paintings owned by the client.
Much is concealed or embedded, organised so as to un-clutter the space allowing easy access and energy to flow throughout all four levels without interruptions. As space is distributed intentionally to recreate small theatrical staged corners, the general sense of the scheme remains unbroken and gently continuous.
