This illustration is inspired by the theme of sextortion, a form of online abuse where predators
blackmail victims into sharing explicit content.
Teenagers are particularly vulnerable, and the psychological impact can be devastating, leading to anxiety, fear, and isolation. The aim of this artwork is to raise awareness about the risks of sharing intimate images online.
It depicts a teenage girl taking a braless selfie, with the light from her phone casting a shadow
that transforms into the menacing figure of a hacker, symbolising an extortionist waiting to ex-ploit her privacy. The use of black and red creates a tense, anxious mood, highlighting the
hidden dangers of sextortion.
