About me
To whom it may concern,
I plan to continue my career in packaging design, and am interested in the Junior Account Manager position.
I have a year's worth of experience in account management for one of the UK's largest packaging design agencies, Jones Knowles Ritchie (*). After competing with over 700 applicants, I was selected for their graduate scheme working on well-known FMCG brands such as Hovis, Mr Kipling, Rubicon and Heinz. I gained experience in the 'JKR brand first' philosophy, branding and product identity, project management and managing client relations. Through my time at JKR, I have gained an understanding of the whole creative process, the roles of each department and the information they need to do their job well. I also managed existing relationships and networked with new clients at a monthly JKR hosted event, and have separately organised a client party for around 50 people.
I have since joined Cowan London, as I wished to work in a smaller, more intimate studio. Unfortunately, since joining I have come to learn that the London office is in an unstable state; at present I am the only full-time permanent member of staff, and there is a very small client base with limited business development capability. At this relatively early stage of my career in packaging, I feel this is not the right environment for me to develop in. As a result, I am keen to continue where I left off from JKR, working in a dynamic environment on great brands where I can further my professional development.
What I'd like to bring to the next agency is my passion for creative solutions and strategy. I am eager to expand the breadth of my experience in design, and above all, I am looking to work in an inspiring agency with great brands and exceptional people.
Please find my CV attached.
Best regards,
Maria
