ABOUT

HistoryExtra is the website for Britain's most popular history magazines BBC History and History Revealed. Founded in May 2000 they have attracted the interest of leading historic experts and have developed a strong print identity. With the transition to digital subscriptions and the development of a HistoryExtra app, they needed to establish their branding to appeal to a digital audience with a greater focus on design for marketing.
Additionally they were launching a digital app and needed campaign assets and supporting visuals for it.

To achieve this the branding needed to be sympathetic to the existing brand design while allowing the design teams the ability to produce visually branded content using a wide variety of supporting imagery and art styles which would need to be made visually consistent.
