About me
I am applying for the Lead Creative position advertised on Creativepool as I believe the opportunity fits very well with my skillset and expertise and my 10 years experience working in fashion retail. Here below is a short summary of my career and a brief of my qualifications for the position.
From luxury to high street and from apparel to accessories, I have been working with very different brands throughout my career in order to grow with a global and multi-faceted scope of expertise as a creative retail professional with strong visual design and project managing skills.
After a career spent in luxury - with high-fashion brands like Marc Jacobs or brands with a strong conservative heritage like Smythson, while accepting the challenge of making it current and aspirational - I accepted my current position as a Creative Visual Manager for the high street giant the Arcadia Group. I did so with the intent to broaden even more my operational and managing skills while still looking after the details, working executively on the creative and multi-channel aspects of all visual communication, re-shaping the creative identity for the Evans brand not only through VM, windows and graphics/POs, but also photoshoots, videos and fashion shows production, working alongside the Creative Director, while managing the Creative and VM team.
I believe have been able to grow as a VM professional within Creative thanks to my background in studying languages, foreign literature and translation, as if being able to absorb and "interpret" the brand's vision into windows, multi-channel campaigns and other creative applications, combined with my natural drawing and painting abilities and the flair for arts and fashion.
At the same time, my can-do attitude and my ability to project manage while still keeping the creative side of the brain "switched on", I believe has led me to be able to manage, lead and coach other people nowadays.
From this, I wish to continue finding new and successful ways to conceive and translate the identity of exciting brands through a mix of visual arts and commercial thinking, managing the marketing side of visuals and growing creative teams with the same passion and drive I have for what I do.
