About me
Marcelo is partner and CEO at Design Bridge and Partners Brazil, a WPP Company. He combines more than 20 years of experience in branding with a in-depth knowledge of consumer behavior. He works closely with the strategy, commerce, retail and creative teams, ensuring that specialists work side-by-side in an interdisciplinary approach and with an innovative way of thinking.
Marcelo studied architecture and has a Master and PhD in semiotics in the field of information technology. He also has executive education at Stanford University and at Kellogg Northwestern. Former PhD Professor for 10 years, Marcelo also helped to create the Design Course and managed research laboratories in the design field at University of São Paulo (best in Latin America according with QS World University Ranking). He has published several projects, interviews and articles in Brazil, Europe and Latin America.
At Superunion he has been awarded for his efforts in design and architecture, both in Brazil and abroad. He also acted as Member of the Jury at several awards and contests, such as Cannes Lions and Effie.
With a global vision of strategy, branding, innovation, product design and design thinking, he managed and developed several projects for unicorns and start-ups, such as NuBank, Rappi, Kavak, Avenue Securities, Creditas, among others. He also helped several of the most valuable brands in Latin America as Bradesco Bank, Itau Bank, Vivo, Natura and Boticario as well global brands, such as Telefonica, Shell, Vans, Mastercard, Heineken, Carrefour, among others.
