Red Mess is a 10 year old Brazilian stoner/alternative rock band. For the release of their new album, Phantom Limb (2022), they wanted to professionalize their visual identity and media kit. For Red Mess I studied and researched its basic references, which were the Seattle grunge scene of the 90s with a mix of contemporary and modern rock like Turnstile and a bit of the funk pop band Parcels. Normally in this type of work I like to collaborate and partner with local brands / thrift stores to curate the pieces.
For Red Mess I needed to put together three compositions for each member. For all three I created the looks following the band's references specifically designed for this editorial.
I like to mix the references with the styles already experienced by the band members, so that they feel represented in each composition in some way.
