ABOUT

And if the sea could speak, what would it tell us?

To give the sea a voice and raise awareness, the Government of Cabo Verde, through the Ministry of the Environment, carried out another awareness initiative aimed at our youth.

Using Bluetooth technology, we placed small earpieces inside seashells and visited several schools in the city of Praia on World Oceans Day, so that some young people could hear the Voice of the Sea.

The initiative concluded with the distribution of flyers featuring a QR Code, allowing everyone to share the "Voice of the Sea" through social media and instant messaging platforms.

The outcome can be seen in this video, which highlights the urgency of changing perceptions and behaviours. For the future, this action serves as a reminder—and a certainty—that every gesture makes a difference.
