A selection of illustrative and independent study composed over both my time as a student and career in the industry. Conceptually I have explored numerous difficult themes over the years, particularly the violences in war, children, relationships, growing up and ageing, as well as the feelings of numbness, nostalgia, fear, rejection and aspirations that accompany these very facts of human existence.
Technically the series of drawings use a wide plethora of materials ranging from ink, oil, charcoal, watercolour and them enhancing them further digitally. I prefer to stick to the graphic power of black and white thus more suggestive of a documentary approach on the human condition.
My work has been exhibited internationally in artist run spaces, galleries, museums, fairs and other creative collaborations including novels, dramatic works and poetry.
