I was revisiting the late George Harrison’s critically acclaimed triple album from the 1970s ’All Things Must Come To Pass’. It was Harrison’s first solo work after the breakup of the Beatles and as is the way with Google and research, stumbled on the Sufi adage  "This too shall pass”: translated from the Persian: این نیز بگذرد‎, and used in multiple languages. 
It reflects on the temporary nature, or ephemerality, of the human condition.

The general sentiment is often expressed in wisdom literature throughout history and across cultures, although the specific phrase seems to have originated in the writings of the medieval Persian Sufi poets. Its origin has been traced to the works of Persian Sufi poets, such as Rumi, Sanai and Attar of Nishapur. The phrase also appears in Jewish folklore.

Ordinarily I wouldn’t be posting this, but under the COVID-19 fall-out a lot of creatives like my self might be finding it difficult to draw inspiration under the circumstances. So thought it might have some relevance.
