I assembled this banner/graphic to depict the term ‘rubber ducking’ - the way programmers and coders discuss with an inanimate object the coding/programming task presented to themselves.
On stepping back it occurred to me the similarities that digital media artists are doing much the same, trying to explain to themselves the design and composition process that best explains the task/brief.
Given briefs to a studio team will result in different outcomes, but the process of ‘rubber ducking’ is the same as that of coders and programmers, with the final result being selected that best suits the brief.
