The Pop Up Creative Principles

Published by

Creative principles are the foundation of a creative process. It's something that is agreed within the group to create an environment where everyone involved will feel safe and thrive. It's what makes it function!

A. Open mindset

The single most important and most underestimated part is the mindset. Having an open outlook, attitude and beliefs is the key that empowers you to be as creative as you can. Without it, your creativity will be compromised and your thinking will be limited.

Start with a mindset that allows you to create

B. Collaboration

It’s simple, there is no such thing as "a one man team" or "a creative genius". Working collaboratively will enable you to be more efficient. You will take advantage of the various skill in your team and it will accelerate your projects. Build on each others ideas, by adding on to them. By doing so, you will generate more diverse solutions and reach higher goals.

The answer lies in the many

C. Focus

Have clear goals, be present and have constraints. Do not create an environment where free thinking, no rules, and unlimited options are allowed. Having constraints and clear goals will push your thinking and help you stay on track.

Focus enables speed, not the other way around

Remember! Creativity is a mindset, not a skill. It's something we all possess.
