ABOUT
I have entered the Retail Design Expo competition for Majestic Wine as part of my first final year brief at Kingston. Majestic Wine asked for a flexible and adaptable system that could be installed in 48hrs in different locations and configurations and that would appeal to the new generation of wine drinkers, an audience ranging from 25-40 years old.
POP 100 is a modular temporary concept featuring one hundred popular seasonal wines. Technology is advancing at a fast pace nowadays, therefore I thought of creating a balance between the simple, traditional display system and the high technological system; the OLD and the new. I imagined a space that focuses on educating its audience on wine by engaging it to interact with high technology and amongst themselves in order to create a memorable experience; a social hub and a innovative representation for the Majestic Wine brand.
You can walk in, you immerse yourself in the 100 bottles display selection, you locate the wine on a particular shelf using the iPads available, which give you all the necessary information about your choice and you can buy the bottle that you want by simply scanning the barcode and pay using contactless payment or you can even save it for later, email the details to yourself or place a direct large order of the wanted wine through the Majestic Wine Warehouse.
