ABOUT

This series was created for Flow Magazine to illustrate an article on the emotional relationship we have with our belongings and how letting go of clutter can support mental clarity and wellbeing.

The brief called for a vibrant and chaotic compositions to reflect the abundance of “stuff” that tends to accumulate in our homes. The focus was the psychology behind why we hold on to things and how organizing our spaces can create emotional relief and a sense of control.

To support the client's vision, I illustrated overlapping figures surrounded by symbolic objects and household items. The goal was intentional fullness. The uplifting color palette was designed to emphasize the positive emotions tied to release and renewal. And to keep the tone playful, we included fun details like lava lamps, kitschy vases and bright decor.

I started with hand-drawn sketches to explore flow and structure, making sure the visual busyness felt expressive and balanced. All final artwork was created in Procreate and delivered in both CMYK and RGB formats for print and digital use.

This series invites the viewer to reflect on the way our material spaces mirror our inner worlds and how thoughtful change in one can lead to meaningful shift in the other.
