Pum Lefebure announced as speaker at Creative LIAisons

Pum Lefebure, the co-founder and chief creative officer of Design Army, has been announced as a speaker at the London International Awards 2015 Creative LIAisons program. Lefebure, who joins Keynote Speaker Daymond John at this year’s event, adds to an all-star line-up of speakers who will be revealed over the coming weeks. Lefebure, who is a co-founder and chief creative officer of Design Army in Washington DC, will be speaking to the assembled young creatives taking part in the Creative LIAisons program, which runs concurrently with the LIA judging in Las Vegas. 2015 will be the fourth year in which LIA will host Creative LIAisons. This mentoring program is LIA's way of giving back to the industry by fully funding the travel and accommodation for the young creatives, who will experience three days of educational and inspirational speakers on various topics, along with one day of sitting in on the jury's statue deliberations. They will also have networking opportunities with the jurors and speakers outside of the sessions.

Lefebure said: “As a Creative Director, business owner, brand builder, designer, and mother, I have a lot to share and it’s not just through Instagram. Throughout my career, I’ve trained designers and seen them grow and flourish; it’s one of my greatest contributions to the industry. Our role at Creative LIAisons is to guide new talent through successes and failures, teaching them to integrate creativity into work and life to kick ass 365. Learning is a lifelong process: I hope to discover as much from the upcoming generation as they will from me.” The LIA 2015 Entry System is now accepting entries through August. Judging will take place from 1st October to 10th October. The shortlists will be announced as each judging session concludes, with winners being announced 10th November.

 

Taylor James claims Best Animation at Le Book Creative Awards

Taylor James announced this week that its 30 second “Beautiful From The Inside Out” TV spot for Symmons faucets took top honours in the Animation category at Le Book's Creative Awards last month.

A prestigious panel of jurors reviewed the work from over 100 nominated artists at CONNECTIONS NYC. The Judges of the awards were an inspiring panel of industry big hitters and there was some stiff competition, so Taylor James is certainly feeling overwhelmed to have won. As a result of the win, the multi-platform campaign is getting a special feature in the next edition of Le Book USA.

 

ADMA Youth Awards Open

ADMA and its 30Below network has announced the opening of the 2015 competitions to find the ADMA Young Marketer of the Year and Young Creative of the Year.

 The competition is open to people aged under 30 who work in the marketing, media, advertising or creative realms, with a deadline set for the 4th of September.

 Entrants need to showcase their marketing or creative talents and demonstrate what makes them potential winners.

 Young Marketer is judged on one’s career achievements to date and Young Creative on artistic talents demonstrated in developing a campaign concept. The winners will receive an all-expense paid trip to New York City to meet leading luminaries at top agencies like R/GA, Anomaly and OgilvyOne. There is also a tour of the Google Creative Lab, plus plenty of time to visit well-known New York landmarks, restaurants and bars.

E4 open up the floor to creatives everywhere

Channel 4 Marketing is challenging the nation to flex its creative muscles with E4’s E Stings competition, which is open to anyone who thinks they have got what it takes to create a unique 10 second brand sting for the channel. From Wednesday 8th July 2015 entrants who tweet a YouTube link to their sting using the hashtag #EStings2015 will be entered into the competition.

A selection of E Stings will be showcased online during the entry period at a bespoke site, and the winning entries will be broadcast across the UK’s number one digital channel for young viewers.The two overall winners meanwhile (a People’s Choice and a Judges Winner) will each be awarded a grand prize of £5,000. E4 will choose up to 16 of the best E Stings and air them on E4 in a single elimination knock-out tournament, where viewers can vote for their ultimate E Sting champion and winner of the People's Choice category via #EStings2015. The overall Judges Winner will be chosen by some creative big wigs at E4 HQ.

This week, ADMA revealed the nine marketing and advertising leaders who will head up the judging panel for the second annual Australian Creativity and Effectiveness Awards (AC&E Awards).

 The chairs for the 2015 Awards comprise:

; Julie Nestor from American Express (integrated)
; Leigh Terry from ANZ OMG (media and PR)
; Louise Baxter from the Starlight Foundation (broadcast, print, email, PR)
; Pat Baron, from McCann Melbourne (copywriting, art direction)
; Stephanie Tully from Qantas (data and commerce)
; Stuart Tucker from the Commonwealth Bank of Australia (acquisition and loyalty)
; Brendan Cook from OOH Media (OOH and technology). A chair will be confirmed shortly for the mobile and ambient categories.

This week, ADMA revealed the judging panel for the 2015 AC&E Awards
