 I don't have to tell you that it's tough out there at the moment. It's there each time you turn on the news. Inflation this, growth index blah. But it would seem that us ladies are getting a tougher ride than the gents. A recent unemployment report states that women are loosing their jobs 10 times faster than men and women claiming jobseekers allowance hit an all-time high this year at 462,000 claimants. Add to this the other more traditional pressures of being a businesswoman and it can seem like a daunting struggle to even approach the ladder let alone get a good grip on it. Luckily an organisation called SheSays is here to support women in the creative industries on a international and multi-platformed level. Read on ladies, to find out more.

SheSays is an award-winning organisation which provides free networking events, career management and useful courses to over 3000 creative businesswomen. SheSays wants to see more women at the top and does this by recruiting top females to share their thoughts and help others climb their own career ladders. The operation has networks set up in London, New York, San Francisco, LA, Boulder, Seattle, Dallas, Toronto, Sydney, Melbourne, Brighton, Scotland and Montevideo, a fine start to achieving a global presence.

SheSays has a strong focus on its innovative networking events. For example, the next event in London is in collaboration with Underwire Film Festival, and will be an evenings networking with top women in the realms of film, advertising, content and digital creativity. SheSays also offer CV makeover evenings, talks on how to engage with your client plus their mentoring scheme Who's Yr Momma' which offers a free service where you can email one of the SheSays mentors and have regular meetings with them. There are experts on hand in the fields of creativity, planning, project management, HR and career planning, PR, technology, digital medial and branding.

SheSays also hosts yearly awards ceremonies known as The Golden Stillettos' which awards the first wearable trophy to the most innovative businesswoman of the year, who executes the greatest of ideas, regardless of the category they work in.

SheSays have also launched Shout an online platform which aims to get women in digital advertising to collaborate together and get paid for it in the process. It also allows companies access to a collective of well-connected females. There are always projects on the website for people to get involved with, the current task is to design a homepage for the polar explorer Ann Daniel.
