Returning for the second year, the global innovation event co-organised by Publicis Group and Groupe Les Echoes, Viva Technology, turns Paris into a hub for the latest groundbreaking startups centred in Paris and beyond. With over 60,000+ attendees from the related industries of technology, advertising and marketing, the festival prides its self on its ability to open the doors on Saturday to students, young entrepreneurs, professionals and families who are eager to find out what will shape our future. 

Combining 5,000 startups, with 1,000 investors, 1,000 journalists, and 400 key speakers the event creating an opportunity to discover the best in innovation today, through exploring trends of tomorrow and the most disruptive ideas on the planet. Our the key takeaways from the week you must know…

1. ”Entrepreneur is the new France.” - Macron shares his vision for a new Paris, where the world looks at France as a place for technological entrepreneurship and environmental advancements. "Today, France is becoming the country where entrepreneurs can be successful and this is what I will bring you in the years to come," he promised.

2. Maurice Levy states he does not wish to make Viva Technology the new CES, but for the festival to break into it’s own category. Maurice explained how CES is more of an exhibition with gambling rather than a festival which is about hard work, conferences, events, and a meeting place for large corporations and startups. An idea which he believes can make Viva the number one destination in Europe for progressive business in a few years.

3. Publicis Media, Relaxnews, and AFP unveil a new brand journalism solution, my editorializer, providing a unique solution to help marketers curate, create and distribute content across all channels. With the debut of 4 distinct tools users can survey trends, schedule content, and parter with key journalists to improve their scale across global content distribution.

4. The Heuritech team received the LVMH Innovation Award in the presence of Bernard Arnault, President of the LVMH Group. Out of 32 different contestants, Heuritech is recognised for the  fashion e-retailers to bridge a gap between social and e-commerce. By combining data and machine learning they are able to detect trends before they emerge.

5. ICAROS are taking VR to the next level with a fitness flying machine that helps you exercise in all realities. One of the most attractive stands in the room ICAROS offers an entertaining and active way to explore virtual reality.

6. Flying cars are becoming a reality, as Seabubbles restores urban freedom from the water. Zero impact transportation is ready for the present with it’s seamless integration and connected app technology. The cities are flowing again. 

7.  Bouygues Construction showcased a massive improvement in 3D printed street furniture that is set to disrupt the construction industry.
