Take a trip through the brain with IKEA and Sonos

Published by

Fancy an explorative journey through the brain? Then look no further than IKEA and Sonos’ new immersive experience about to land in London.

The Sound Affect is a one-of-a-kind event that will allow you to discover how sound impacts your emotions and surroundings as you lose yourself in a multi-sensory narrative led by sound.

Created in collaboration with Sonos and Olivier nominated theatre company Les Enfants Terribles, the experience will be powered by IKEA and Sonos SYMFONISK speakers and features a series of bespoke soundscapes.

Each piece of unique audio is designed to have a transformative effect on individual perceptions of the multiple spaces within the experience which are designed to represent a specific part of the brain.

Taking place at Phonica Records in London’s Soho, the four-day theatre experience starts via entry through an innocent-looking record store on Poland Street, from which IKEA scientists will escort you to their innovative lab.

As well as interactive light and sound, surreal characters will interact with participants to heighten emotion within the space playing on the intricacies of the mind and the psychological state elicited in each room.

On returning to the lab IKEA scientists bring you back to reality. There's also an IKEA SYMFONISK lounge where you can reflect on the experience in tranquil surroundings.

Tickets are here and FREE
