20 year old entrepreneur makes huge waves with groundbreaking video review platform

Published by

20 year old Australian entrepreneur Brandon Evertz has caught the attention of some serious global investors recently as the co-founder of Big Review TV. The world's first official “Video review platform,” Big Review TV combines short video reviews with TV style review shows and “Peer generated” video reviews made via the company's own app. It's a unique platform that lets users search for restaurants, attractions, hotels and shops, and find in=depth video reviews, which are far easier to digest than conventional, text-heavy written reviews. Big Review TV is also a platform that thrives on user contributions, with the idea being that users upload their own reviews and integrate the platform with social media, thereby spreading the word in an organic and decidedly modern fashion.

Evertz himself said that the reason the platform has proven so successful is because he's essentially filling a gap in the market. He said he's “Always used online video as a learning tool,” and was amazed that if he wanted to find a reputable place to eat or “Hang out,” he had to “Trawl through heaps of text reviews.” He admitted that his generation wants to actually be able to visualise what their friends are recommending because “You don't know if written reviews are genuine.” He makes the point that “Until Big Review TV there's been nothing in the review market that is video based, entertaining, shows real people and places, and brings it all together in one place.”

Big Review TV – We're Just Getting Started!

Evertz first secured seed capital for the venture back in 2011. Now, just 3 years later, Big Review TV Ltd and Republic Gold Ltd have announced a deal that (subject to shareholder approval) will result in the company being listed on the Australian Stock Exchange as “Big Un Limited,” coinciding with Big Review TV's official public launch. Evertz might be a young entrepreneur, but that doesn't mean he's still wet behind the ears. He makes a point to praise his “Small team of committed and very experienced mentors,” and says he is still learning every day, underlining his team's “Specialist help and guidance.” That's not to say he's not proud of his achievements though. Indeed, it would appear he has quite lofty aspirations, as he says “The dream has already become a multi-million dollar business,” and claims that the team are “Just getting started!”

The platform was officially launched in Australia yesterday, but it has already has international buy-in, with US and UK launches planned

The free Big Review TV video app is available now, with updates expected to hit for the recently released iPhone 6 within the next few weeks. The platform was officially launched in Australia yesterday, but it already has international buy-in, with US and UK launches planned. According to a press release issued by the company, the platform has “Caught the attention of large international brands, media companies and personalities,” so keep your eyes peeled and your ears to the ground.
