In other Starcom MediaVest news, the group has also just finished leading negotiations for a deal between the Publicis Group and Facebook. According to Starcom MediaVest group CEO Laura Desmond, the deal is a “Multi-year partnership, which focuses on co-creation of product around data, video and imagines, including core Facebook and Instagram.” Although the pact is focused on North America right now, both companies have expressed plans to discuss global expansion “Down the road.”

Starcom and Facebook have said the deal (which was around 6 months in the making) will include the integration of Facebook data into the Publicis media-mix-modelling platform, which will allow Publicis to see how well Facebook ads are performing. There will also be integration of a Publicis “content-at-scale product” into the recently announced Facebook ad network. Both companies have been rather vague concerning which components will be exclusive to Publicis, but they did say that all Publicis agencies would gain access to Facebook insight, as well as the social media giant's creative talent and engineers, to create special ad units or Instagram content.
