In his new, Hong-Kong-based role, Fergus will be responsible for the continued growth and expansion of Social@Ogilvy across 12 major markets in Asia.  He will report to Thomas Crampton, the driving force behind Social@Ogilvy Asia-Pacific to date, who has taken on a global leadership role from Asia.

Until recently, Fergus was Ogilvy’s Worldwide Managing Director on the SC Johnson business based in Chicago. Over the years he has developed groundbreaking work for a variety of global clients, including British Airways, Barclays, Coca-Cola and Britvic.

“Fergus’ arrival comes at an important and pivotal time for Social@Ogilvy,” said Thomas Crampton, Global Managing Director, Social@Ogilvy. “Having already built an extensive network in Asia, we are continuing to both broaden and deepen our social offer. More clients are moving well beyond their initial approaches and realizing the real long-term potential for developing customer relationships through social, plus bringing further creativity to their social solutions. Fergus’ background is perfectly suited to achieving this.”

“I am thrilled to be leading Social@Ogilvy, particularly in Asia,” said Hay. “Social@Ogilvy is leading the way in cutting-edge social strategy in Asia, and I see a wealth of emerging client needs and opportunities ranging from real-time communication to social CRM and beyond. The market should expect to see interesting, new developments from Social@Ogilvy in Asia.”
