Ogilvy PR take home 13 EAME SABRE Awards at the 10th annual ceremony

At the 10th annual EMEA SABRE Awards, which were held in London on Tuesday night, Ogilvy Public Relations capped off an award filled evening by being officially named the Holmes Report Pan-EMEA Consultancy of the Year 2014. As well as this prestigious honour, the agency also took home a total of 13 awards from the glittering ceremony, with accolades awarded to its agencies from across the EMEA region (Europe, the Middle East and Africa), leaving it with more wins than any other agency network.

Other key wins for the agency included the Pan-EMEA Consultancy of the Year Diamond Award and the Platinum Best in Show Award, which was won by Memac Ogilvy PR for their  “Green Mosque campaign for Grohe, the sanitary fittings company. Memac Ogilvy also took home best Middle Eastern Campaign for the same campaign and the Best Public Education Campaign, for their work with the King Khalid Foundation. There were also wins for Ogilvy PR in France, who won the Best Campaign in Cause-Related Marketing for the Same Sex Marriage campaign they created for Google+ and Poland, who won the Best Baltics Campaign with the Polish Academy of Sciences.

It was the Ogilvy PR team in the UK who claimed the most awards of the night, though, with their Project Patty campaign for Maastricht University winning them Best UK and Ireland Campaign and the Best Educational and Cultural Institutions Campaign, and their campaign for Beyond Dark chocolate winning them the Best Marketing to Women Campaign. Ogilvy PR also cleaned up in the IN2 SABRE category, which recognises insight and innovation. These awards were presented during the first European In2 Summit earlier in the day.

Stuart Smith, CEO of Ogilvy PR in the EAME region, thanked “Both the Holmes Report for their work to raise the creative profile of the PR industry and this year's jurors.” He also said that their success at this year's awards would not have been possible without their clients, who he said trust the agency “With the creative freedom to experiment in this ever-changing world of paid, owned and earned.” He also said that all of the Ogilvy PR teams across the region have his “Deep thanks and respect,” and that the awards were “A great recognition for their efforts.”
