BBDO tops the 2014 Effie Effectiveness Index as the Most Effective Agency Network in the World

Published by

According to the results of the 4th Annual Effie Effectiveness Index, Effie Worldwide has named the Omnicom Group's BBDO as the most effective agency network in the world. These results are determined by the performance of the world's major agency networks in more than 40 global, regional and national Effie programs, and in this year's results, BBDO was found to be the top-ranked network by a significant margin of almost 250 points over its closest competitor, Ogilvy & Mather.

In this year's results, BBDO was found to be the top-ranked network by a significant margin of almost 250 points

This is the second time in only 4 years that BBDO has been ranked at the top of the index (it also claimed the top spot in 2011), and as well as being ranked as number 1 in the world, BBDO has also been named as the most effective agency network in the Asia-Pacific, Europe and Latin American regions. As well as scooping the big prize, BBDO can also lay claim to owning the most effective individual advertising agency in the world in the Columbian agency, Sancho BBDO, which trumped the Indian agency, Lowe Lintas by almost 100 points. Sancho was the runner-up in last year's index, but has almost doubled its performance in the last 12 months, earning it the coveted title of 'most effective individual agency office'.

This is just the latest in a long line of victories for BBDO in 2014 after is was named the most creative agency network in the world in The Gunn Report earlier this year. The Gunn Report ranks an agency's performance across all of the most important industry award competitions, which means that BBDO has been named both the most creative and most effective agency network in the world as determined by two completely independent rankings. It's the advertising world's equivalent of taking home both a Golden Globe and an Academy Award!

“The bar has been raised year after year for companies that are delivering the most effective marketing communication strategies, ideas and results." Andrew Robinson

CEO and president of Effie Worldwide, Neal Davies, says that the companies “That hold the top slot or climb to another level in the Global Effie Index show the worldwide business community how to create ideas that work.” He believes that in the four years the index has been running, that “The bar has been raised year after year for companies that are delivering the most effective marketing communication strategies, ideas and results." Andrew Robinson, the president and CEO  of BBDO Worldwide is delighted that at his company's achievements, and believes the reason his company have come out on top is the relationships that BBDO holds with its clients, a relationship he says has been vindicated by their place atop “Both The Gunn Report and Effie Effectiveness Index.”
