Annual 2017 opens for the Early Birds, and you know what they say…

Published by

It's our favourite time of year again, with the winter closing in and the clock winding down, as we set our sights set on the New Year and the opening of our early bird Annual submissions.

The overwhelming volume of unique and exciting work submitted in 2016 was a spectacular reflection of the talent found in the pool, but we're always looking forward. Last year we presented you with 140 pages, 86 Companies, 24 Categories and 2 Agencies of the Year; this year we’re changing the game once more, bringing you more categories with more winners in a fairer competition that awards companies and individuals separately. It's this diversity and the democratisation of the returning People's Choice selections, that set the Annual apart from other creative awards.

As we work hard towards the Annual 2017, we personally endeavour to constantly set higher benchmarks for creativity, to inspire learning, interaction and debate. As one of the most widely distributed creative publications, we print 15,000 perfectly bound copies and put them directly in the hands of industry leaders, on coffee tables, and at some of the the most significant creative events of the year, including the Cannes Lions, Clerkenwell Design Week and the London Design Festival. The Annual itself also promises to be another work of true artistic beauty, with a fresh layout and more remarkable artwork from some of the best in the business.

And lest we forget the Awards, which run in conjunction with and compliment the Annual by celebrating the people who have changed the game, blazed trails, and caught our attention in a busy creative world this year. We recognise these Newcomers, Influencers, and Agencies of the year by opening nominations to everyone, with one winner selected by our judges and another selected by the members of Creativepool.

Landing a prized spot in the 2017 Annual will give any creative individual or agency that crucial extra edge by putting your work in front of some of the biggest agencies and brands in the industry. All shortlisted entries for the Annual will also be invited to an exclusive launch party, where you'll not only get the chance to share stories and shots with your peers, but will have your work publicly distinguished in front of an appreciative crowd of your peers. Even more crucially perhaps, all winners will be able to add the infinitely desirable “Winner's Badge” to their Creativepool profiles.

If we've managed to pique your interest, it couldn't be simpler to enter this year. If you're already an existing member of Creativepool, simply click the button at the bottom of this page, then select one of the categories and the project you feel deserves pride of place in the Annual. If you're still compiling your best work for submission, please be aware that Early Bird Submission ends 30 November 2016 and the final deadline for submissions is 27 January 2017. Good luck everyone and stay tuned for more, because trust us when we say that we are just getting started!
