A shot of Bob Weir performing at the Sweetwater Music Hall last year

Known by fans and musicians alike as one of the “Greatest rock & roll clubs in the world,” the Sweetwater has its roots in a rich, 40 + year history. The Music Hall opened in late January, 2012, and marked a re-birth of the Sweetwater legacy, which stretches right back to the 17th of November, 1972 when the first Sweetwater bar was opened. The new venue, which intends to carry on the storied traditions of its fore-bearers, is located in a beautiful, converted Masonic Hall in Mill Valley and as well as offering a broad spectrum of live music and entertainment, it also includes a full-service restaurant, a gourmet cafe offering locally-sourced, organic fare, and on-sire catering led by world renowned restauranteur and celebrity chef Gordon Drysdale.

The multi-million dollar renovation of the venue was initiated under the guidance and investment of Grateful Dead guitarist, Bob Weir, also the leader of the club's investment group

The venue itself offers state-of-the-art sound and streaming video technology, a sleek, decidedly modern interior, and a full performance schedule with local and national bands The multi-million dollar renovation of the venue was initiated under the guidance and investment of Grateful Dead guitarist, Bob Weir, also the leader of the club's investment group. Weir believes that the Sweetwater brand “Stands for real, authentic and innovative music, food and art,” and he is “Excited to work with Grey,” on the venue's growth plans.
