Ogilvy & Mather name new Worldwide Creative Council member and China CEO

Published by

Tham Khai Meng, Ogilvy & Mather Worldwide's chief creative officer, recently announced that Cesar Agost Carreno, the vice president of creative at Ogilvy & Mather Mexico has been appointed to the agency's Worldwide Creative Council (WCC). Carreno joined O&M in 2001, and according to Khai, who is also the chairman of the WCC, he has been an “Integral part” of the agency's recent creative renaissance. Khai said you don't get appointed to the council simply for being good, but “Consistently” good. He believes “It takes a special person to fit in and deliver, to keep the flame burning and the pipes of Pervasive Creativity pumping in a world of relentless competition,” and Carreno obviously fulfils that criteria. Prior to his time at O&M Mexico, Carreno worked as CEO at O&M Chile for ten years whilst also serving as head of creative service. Before that he was with O&M Buenos Aires.
