Ogilvy & Mather employees honoured at the ADCOLOR Awards

Two employees from Ogilvy & Mather have been recognised for the 8th Annual ADCOLR Awards, which honours top individuals in the advertising, marketing and entertainment industries who endeavour to catalyse diversity within their professions. Ashley Mackel and Daniel Marin were both included as finalists in a special advertising section in yesterday's issue of Adweek, the magazine and website that covers media news, including print, technology, advertising, branding and television. The ADCOLOR Awards ceremony will be held in Beverly Hills on Saturday the 20th of September, where winners will be announced in the following categories: Rockstar, Innovator, Rising Star, Change Agent, and Ad of The Year at the Awards and Industry Conference, presented by GSD&M and Omnicom Group.

Mackel, Ogilvy & Mather's worldwide marketing manager, has been named as a finalist for the Rising Star Award, which highlights young industry professionals who have proven their worth by setting goals and applying their talents to attain those goals. She has been at Ogilvy & Mather since August 2008 and attained her current position in July 2012, where she expanded on skills she'd acquired at OgilvyOne. She is a founding member of OgilvyCULTURE, the cross-cultural strategic service communications practice, which specialises in offering cross-culturally focused client services within marketing strategy, creative strategy, digital strategy, CRM, analytics, and public relations.

Marin, meanwhile, who is managing director of Ogilvy & Mather North America, has been named as a finalist for the Innovator Award, which identifies those in the advertising industry that stand out amongst their peers as pioneers who exemplify growth and imagination in the workplace. He has been working at Ogilvy & Mather for 11 years, holding various roles within the agency. Currently, he leads a think tank group that aim to deliver cost-effective videos and other content to brands across the world and remains highly involved in the community on both coasts.
