The growth of video on social media has contributed to a need for cheaper, faster branded content, according to a marketing executive at Toronto-based Shutterstock Custom.

Paul Cowan, VP of enterprise and SMB marketing, believes the introduction of platforms such as Instagram Stories is forcing clients to rethink the way they produce campaigns and his company is serving that demand by tapping into a global network of content creators for the likes of Quiznos, Chipotle and McDonald’s.
