Leo Burnett India bolsters its creative team with the appointments of Prajato Guha Thakurta & Sachin Kamble

Hot on the heels of the recent news that RajDeepak Das will be joining the Leo Burnett Group as chief creative officer, it's been announced that Prajato Guha Thakurta and Sachin Kamble will also be joining the agency as associate executive creative directors, working closely with Das out of the head office in Mumbai.

Saurabh Varma, the Leo Burnett Group's CEO, believes that the hire of Guha Thakurta and Kamble underlines the fact that “Leo Burnett continues to be a magnet for incredible creative talent.” He says that these new hires will really help to “Build momentum” within the company and praises the duo's “Excellent track record.” He says they have really “Proven their mettle by creating some outstanding integrated campaigns,” and he looks forward to having them on board at a “Super charged Leo Burnett.” RajDeepak Das is similarly delighted to have the duo on his team, singling out their “Special affinity for digital, design and technology.” He also feels that it will be “Fun working together with them on integrated campaigns across Leo Burnett India’s diverse portfolio of brands.”

Guha Thakurta has cut his chops working for esteemed agencies such as JWT, McCann Erickson and DDB Mudra, working on accounts for brands like Nokia, Smirnoff, Bad-Aid and Barclays, amongst others. Kamble, meanwhile, has also served time at both JWT and DDB Mudra, but has also worked for Ogilvy & Mather, Ambience, and Rediffusion Y&R on brands including Colgate, Vodafone, Nestle and more.

RajDeepak Das is delighted to have the duo on his team, singling out their “Special affinity for digital, design and technology.”

Guha Thakurta states that he knows “Times are changing and getting even more demanding and dynamic by the day,” which is why he's pleased to join an agency that is “Recognised for the wonderful integrated campaigns they've created for their clients worldwide.” He is “Very keen and excited to be a part of (Leo Burnett) and (to work on) some of the iconic brands in their portfolio.” Kamble, meanwhile, believes it is an “Exciting and opportune time to be at Leo Burnett India,” and is “Thoroughly excited to be a part of the trajectory path of Burnett 2.0” as drawn by Varma and visualised and articulated by Das. It adds that it will be “Amazing to see that they can do” and accomplish together.
