FITCH VOTED DESIGN FIRM OF 2012

'PEOPLE’S CHOICE' AWARDS NAME FITCH AS 2012 DESIGN FIRM OF THE YEAR

FITCH is thrilled to have been voted the top 2012 Design Firm of the Year. Announced in the September “Portfolio Awards” issue of leading retail design magazine Display and Design Ideas (DDI), the awards showcase the best and the brightest design firms, designers, industry influencers, and noteworthy retail projects. This recognition is particularly meaningful because honorees are chosen through an annual survey by DDI readers—design peers, retailers, and industry leaders.

From Vicky Leavitt, Managing Director North America for FITCH, “This is obviously an enormous honor for all of us, and for this we thank our clients who have been our partners and afforded us opportunity to do bold work that can transform the shopper experience. Beyond our clients, I personally thank every member of our very talented FITCH team, whose passion and dedication every day makes this all possible.”

Christian Davies, Executive Creative Director, Americas, who was named a Retail Design Luminary in the same issue, comments, “When I rejoined FITCH a little over two years ago, I had only two goals: to build the best design agency in the country, and to do it in record time. So to receive this kind of recognition from our own industry is incredibly exciting. We are thrilled.”

The past year has been one of tremendous growth and accolades for the firm, with FITCH taking home 27 awards in North America alone. Recent work includes a contemporary art exhibit in Moscow and Geneva for Nickelodeon’s SpongeBob SquarePants, an award-winning, experiential showroom in California for Fixtures Living, a small-format store for UK-grocery retailer Morrisons, and an award-winning Asian Paints flagship in New Delhi, that embrances interactive technology to teach consumers about color
