We chatted with Carla Buzasi, Global Chief Content Officer at WGSN after her talk on ‘Cool hunting, how to be your own trend forecaster’ at Havas Cafe.

With invaluable insight from Carla, we discovered that contrary to popular belief, being first isn’t always the best when it comes to trends. Carla suggests that businesses and brands need to think about riding the crest of a trend if they are looking for mass market adoption.

With content being absolutely everywhere, the nature of competition is transformed and poses as the biggest challenge as you begin to compete with everything that people could be consuming.
