Jungle Studios, the Soho-based full service audio post production facility that brings together award-winning sound design and music for advertising, promo and broadcast, has announced the appointment of Ben Leeves.

Ben, who has over 20 years’ experience working as a sound designer will join as a senior sound designer. Alongside his audio work, Ben will be charged with expanding Jungle’s already successful audio post production service into new areas and developing client relationships. He will also assist with staff training and technical solutions.

Graham Ebbs, managing director at Jungle Studios says: “Jungle is continuously looking at ways to grow and expand the business. Ben’s experience and knowledge across a range of disciplines makes him the perfect choice to lead a drive into new areas. He is also a fantastic sound designer and will be a great asset to the team.”

Ben began his career at Saunders and Gordon in 1989 after hearing a radio ad on Capital Radio. He started as a maintenance engineer but quickly moved into sound designing, where his passion lay. He spent over a decade there before moving to Triangle as head of sound. Most recently he has been a senior sound designer at Grand Central Sound Studios.

Ben has worked in a variety of areas including TV, cinema and radio advertising; audio books and feature film and his client list includes high-profile directors such as Si and Ad, Sam Brown, Tim Hope, Daniel Kleinman, Declan Lowney, Guy Manwaring, Ed Morris, Sam Walker and Traktor, to name a few. In addition, he has crafted the sound on award-winning spots including: T-Mobiles’ ‘Welcome Back’ and The Imperial War Museum’s ‘Flight of the Stories’. Other notable projects include the Lego Batman promo for Sky; various Meerkat adverts for Compare The Market and Warburton’s ‘The Giant Crumpet Show’ featuring The Muppets.

Commenting on his appointment, Ben Leeves says: “Jungle is an exciting company with state of the art facilities and an enviable client list. I look forward to working with the team to build on this and expand into new areas.”

Jungle has recently provided sound design for a wide range of brands including Aldi, Argos, BBC, British Gas, Lexus, NatWest, RNLI, Sainsbury’s and Vodafone.
